Inclusive rental research

Accessibility Statement

Becca's Rental List is committed to making rental listings, housing research, maps, account tools, and support resources accessible to people with disabilities. We continually review and improve the experience as our service evolves.

Last reviewed: June 15, 2026

Our Commitment

Our goal is to provide an experience that can be understood and operated by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, device, input method, or assistive technology. Accessibility is considered in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of our website.

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as an important reference when evaluating our service. Because the platform is updated regularly and includes interactive maps and third-party services, some areas may not yet meet every guideline fully.

Accessibility Features

Keyboard navigation

Core navigation, forms, dialogs, filters, and account controls are designed to be usable without a mouse.

Readable presentation

We use clear headings, consistent layouts, legible type, visible focus states, and color combinations intended to support readability.

Assistive technology

We aim to provide meaningful labels, semantic page structure, alternative text, and status messages that work with screen readers.

Responsive access

Pages are designed to remain usable across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens, including when text is enlarged.

Keyboard access

  • Tab: Move forward through interactive controls.
  • Shift + Tab: Move backward through controls.
  • Enter or Space: Activate buttons, links, and selections.
  • Escape: Close supported dialogs and menus.

Browser adjustments

You can use your browser or operating system settings to zoom, enlarge text, adjust contrast, use voice control, or enable a screen reader. The site is designed to adapt to common zoom and responsive display settings.

Maps and Rental Listings

Interactive maps can be difficult to use with some keyboards, screen readers, magnification tools, or touch-assistance settings. Rental information displayed on a map is also provided through listing cards and detail pages whenever possible, allowing users to browse without relying solely on map interaction.

If you need help locating a property or understanding map-based information, contact us and describe the listing or location you are trying to access.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, users may encounter accessibility barriers. Current areas of attention include complex map interactions, property images supplied by third parties, embedded payment or authentication experiences, and older content that may not have complete labels or text alternatives.

Third-party websites linked from Becca's Rental List are controlled by their respective owners. We cannot guarantee their accessibility, but feedback about a linked service can help us evaluate alternatives or provide another way to access relevant information.

Testing and Improvement

We use a combination of automated and manual review. Our ongoing accessibility work includes:

  • Keyboard-only review of important user journeys
  • Automated accessibility checks during development
  • Screen-reader and semantic-structure review of key pages
  • Color contrast, focus visibility, and responsive layout checks
  • Review of forms, validation messages, dialogs, and interactive controls

Report an Accessibility Barrier

We welcome accessibility feedback. To help us investigate, include the page address, what you were trying to do, the problem you encountered, and the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using. Please do not email passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days.
